Honda has just announced that it will leave the F1 race at the end of the 2021 season because it wants to focus on research and development of electric and energy technologies in the future.
Recently, Honda officially announced leaving the Formula 1 race (F1). Accordingly, the two teams of Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri will have to find new engine suppliers from the end of 2021.

Before that, in the F1 race, Honda participated as an engine supplier. Two teams were provided by Honda from 80 to the early 90s of the last century, namely Williams and McLaren. Thus, in the F1 race, there are only 3 engine manufacturers from 2022 including Ferrari, Mercedes, and Renault. Accordingly, based on the current tournament rules, Renault will be forced to provide the engine for Red Bull to play in 2022.

Honda provided engines for two teams Williams and McLaren from the 80s to the early 90s of the last century, bringing in six consecutive team championships.
During the 2000s, Honda had a racing team participating in the F1 tournament besides supplying engines to other teams. After a 7-year hiatus from 2008 for various reasons, Honda returned to this race as a McLaren engine supplier in 2015.
